Whitney Archive (American Art Research Council Questionnaires) indicates, "An American Place/509 Madison Avenue – Room 1710/(S.E. Corner 53rd St. New York)/Oak Leaves, Pink & Grey – 1929 (oil by Georgia O'Keeffe)" [most probably An American Place label with inscription by Stieglitz – not verified]. Whitney Archive indicates, "Sold to University of Minnesota Gallery." Abiquiú Notebooks indicates, "Note: Bought from A.S. in 1936."
