Dated 1928/1929 on basis of verso inscription and inclusion in 1930 exhibition. Pictured in 1930 and 1935 New York (An American Place) Stieglitz installation photographs, see Appendix III, figures 38, 40, 58. This painting depicts the Beverly Hotel that O'Keeffe could see from the north window of her 30th floor apartment at the Shelton Hotel.
