General Remarks

Whitney Archive indicates, "Exam at Amer. Place, March 1946: . . [notes backing inscription 1]. This is similar to Mrs. Weiner's 'Seaweed' which we have tentatively dated 1926." (Source: Lynes, 1999)

Overall good condition. Areas of fine cracks as noted. Felt liner fuzz visible around painting edges. Few accretions caught in felt. Fiber caught in varnish in ML quad. Few scattered tiny white dots.
