Double entries Downtown Gallery Archive. Whitney Archive indicates, "Miss O'Keeffe thinks this is 36 x 30. It is oil on canvas." Abiquiú Notebooks after 1977 indicates, "Sold by Halpert July 1961." Backing inscriptions date 1928; Abiquiú Notebooks, Downtown Gallery Archive, Whitney Archive date 1927. Dated 1927 on basis of inclusion in 1928 New York (Intimate Gallery–O'Keeffe) exhibition.
