The painting is executed in oil on canvas and is in stable condition overall. Stretcher bar images are prominent across the top and down the upper right side of the canvas with a less prominent occurrence along the upper left side. There are possible losses from a light abrasion in the upper right quadrant. Light mechanical cracking is present in the upper left, center, and lower left areas, and all appear stable. There is a possible pinpoint loss along the lower right edge of the canvas, close to the frame.
Sprayed with methacrylate in Zylene-Benzine. FA Conservation (1960) Stretcher bar images minimized using moisture from dampened blotters. Several dark accretions removed from surface of the painting using organic solvents. Anne Zanikos, Conservator (1995)
