Oil on canvas, 24 7/8 x 20 7/8 inches
CR No. 451
|
Two large, dark forms, one green and the other red, dominate this abstract work. The green form occupies the left two thirds of the composition, meeting with the red form and creating a white seam running down the right side of the canvas. The tops of the two forms are in lighter shades of their respective colors. Above the forms, a thin strip of white fades into black. Overall, the work resembles a cross section of two geologic landforms meeting under a darkening sky.
